:: My silly girl ::

So I went upstairs to turn the Laundry over, Sarah was in the play room minding her own business, and when I came back down she had crawled all the way across the room, into the computer desk (which is where I keep extra diapers and wipes) where she proceeded to pull out the extra wipes, open the bag and ... Well see for yourself!

James is officially an Awana cubbie!

James joined cubbies this year, he started on Sept 10th, but this week he got his book, bag and vest, he's too cute he loved his vest, he kept telling me over and over that he has a vest now! I'll post pics of him in it soon!

Meadowzs maze September 13, 2008

We went ot the meadows maze with the mitchell's. We had so much fun, there was a petting zoo... That Goat is actually chewing on Jim's shirt!

This Goat actually used his mouth to take Sarah's soother right out of her mouth before I even knew what was going on! James went for a ride on the cow train, it was fast, he held on tight!

Sarah had a bottle... While James had a frog painted on his cheek.

Jaydee struck a vogue every time the camera was turned on her, and Caleb had fun using the pulley to feed the goats up on the bridge... even though there was no food left it was still fun!
Matt took james down the slide many times, they were best buddies that day! And todd took caleb... I'm not sure who had more fun!

After the maze, we headed over to the DQ for ice cream which of course the kids loved! I think overall it was a pretty good day! Major success. I'm so thankful to have a daughter who is so laid back since she gets dragged all over the place, she's content to just chill out and watch the action! Thanks to the big guy in the sky!

kickoff sunday!

Our church had it's annual kickoff sunday! There was a chicken bbq, a rock climbing wall, parachute games, horse rides, a hay ride and more...

James got a lollipop, as my girlfriend says this picture looks like one of those people where the head is too big on america's funniest home videos, haha.

Sarah and Sadie just sorta hung out... As babies do.

We had so much fun, what a great start to a new year! Here is our churchs new banner for the year! I love a new beginning, so much hope, lets all pray for a wonderful year of school, church, and all those other wonderful things!

We went camping at Davis lake for the Labour day long weekend. This was our view from the campsite! very peaceful.

Jim and his baby girl, as my friend nicki puts it "they look like a real outdoorsey family" I think she means Jim looks like a bum, but it's ok. It was actually really cold that weekend, and since we were up in the mountains, it was reeeeaaaallllllyyyyy cold!!!
The nice thing about being cold, is all the cuddling!
Sarah isn't quite crawling yet, but she's almost there! She rolled and shuffled herself over to the dirt behind her numerous times! She was very upset we wouldn't let her play in it with her hands...
Mellissa and I getting ready to go out for a ride, safety first!

James and sarah on the little tiny atv, just posing don't worry they didn't go out like that, well she didn't go out at all, but you get the point.
sarah on the baby atv, pink for girls, and she's wearing james' superman hat.
James would love to be allowed to ride daddy's dirt bike, but he's too little :(
This is how you eat camping.. Well that is if you're two and you would rather not sit alone at the picnic table while evryone else eats on their laps, haha.
We let James stay up and fall alseep to the fire, I wouldn't want to go to bed alone in a tent either, well not if I was only 2... I guess one weekend won't ruin our bed schedule.
All the guys, and all the toys...

All the girls, and all the toys...
We had so much fun, we went up with three other couples! None of them have kids, but they were good about it! Tanya and I got lost in the forest paths on the atv, but we eventually found our way... Jim got up in the woods by himself on the dirt bike (silly guy left the group, naughty!) and he hit something and wiped out, his radiator had a puncture, and he was stranded, then it got dark! However God was with him, and through a few blessings ( too long to write) he did get back to camp. I was worried! But we had a great time overall! Camping in a tent with two wee ones can be tough, but it's only a few nights, and it was well worth the memories!

What do you do when it's a very hot august day and your at great grandma's
without a pool?

You swim in a rubbermaid tub with daddy... what else?

We went to the Pitt Meadows Air show. James had tons of fun! Sorry, no pics of sarah as she slept in the buggy the whole time! We have way too many pics of her in the buggy. They let the kids climb on the planes which was a big hit for James! He loved the little plane train ride! Incidently Jim wants to now become a pilot. ( not gonna happen! ) They had a few little booths for the kids to do crafts and stuff. James made a paper airplane, and tried to fly it. It didn't fly much but he had a blast trying. It was so hot Jim's grandma decided to buy all of us some ice cream! mmm, as you can tell James loved his! Spiderman, of course! They had a firetruck and the kids got to climb in and have a look, they also let the kids try on the uniforms, which of course were huge! All in all we had a great day, the best part was that it was free! I love things that you can do as a family that don't break the bank!

Ok so I have been slacking in the blogging dept... I'm back, I think?

Ok, so in August one weekend Jim and I decided it would be a good idea to take James for a bike ride...
I took Sarah in the stroller, and James rode his bike. Not a good idea, as this left us with nobody to carry the bike home...
James is usually pretty good, but the way to the basketball court (which is where we were going to ride since it's flat) is down hill. You would think this was a good thing since it would be easy for him, no. Easy for him meant that when we got to flat ground he simply did not understand why he had to petal. Shouldn't the bike just go like it did before??? Needless to say, we ended up carrying a bike home while a sad two and a half year old followed with a big lip puffed out. Now we have learned to leave the helper pole on the back of his bike in case he gets tired... We have had many good rides since, we're learning every day!
